Ingredient Safety Information

Citric Acid
Citrate (the salt of citric acid) is a builder for phosphate-free, heavy-duty detergents and hard surface cleaners. It functions by sequestering water-hardness ions, thereby inhibiting the formation of sparingly soluble calcium and magnesium salts of surfactants. Citrate is not harmful to aquatic, all LC50 data are comprised between 200 and 10,000 mg/L. Citrate is rapidly biodegradable under aerobic and anaerobic conditions.
