Ingredient Safety Information

Polyethylene Glycols
Polyethylene Glycols are not harmful to aquatic organisms. Acute toxicity (i.e., L(E)C50) for several algae, invertebrates and fish species tested was greater than approximately 1000 mg/l for molecular weights up to 6000. Because of low solubility, it is anticipated that higher molecular weight PEGs will have similarly low toxicity.

Polyethylene Glycols with molecular weights up to 8000 are rapidly biodegradable in the environment. Higher molecular weight PEGs up to 20000 are also degradable but at slower rates.
