Ingredient Safety Information
Tetraacetyl ethylenediamine (TAED)
TAED is a bleach activator used to give more effective bleaching at lower temperatures. It increases the production of bleach (H2O2) at low temperature.
It is a lower water soluble chemical, fully biodegradable and highly removed in wastewater treatment plant (> 95% removal).
TAED has a very low toxicity to aquatic organisms (lowest EC50 > 400 mg/L).
