Over time, EU legislation is revised and developed to improve the way it protects manufacturers, workers, consumers and the environment. This means that legislation is constantly being 'amended' with small changes added to the original.
Sometimes existing legislation is replaced by new Directives and Regulations, which replace or 'repeal' existing legislation.
